CEO of the WSOC, Edward Colless brings his extensive experience in government, rural affairs, financial administration and corporate governance to the Co-operatives business operations. With an annual turnover in excess of $100 million, Edward provides strategic leadership and management of WSOC, one of Australia’s 20 largest co-operatives. During his time as CEO Edward has driven the development of the current business model, which is producing sound financial performance and business growth. As CEO he oversees the management of a business group that has the responsibility of marketing of annual grain pools and cash grain volumes in excess of 500,000 tonnes. Edward has extensive of experience in agribusiness through the management of his own rural enterprises, and his role at a management and policy development level within the Queensland Department of Primary Industries. Edwards skills and experience have been recognised through his selection as a board member of the Namoi Catchment Authority from its inceptioin until his retirement in 2009.

Edward has a Bachelor of Business in Agricultural Commerce from the University of New England and has undertaken company director skills development with the Institute of Company Directors.
